SMS Notifications & Opt-In

Last updated: August 2026

Japhone, a product of AI Master, LLC, is an AI phone receptionist for local service businesses. This page describes exactly how we collect consent to send SMS, what we send, how often, and how to stop.

Who receives messages

We send SMS only to the business owner who created the Japhone account, at a mobile number that person entered themselves during account setup. We do not send marketing messages, and we never send SMS to the people who call our customers' businesses. There is no third-party or purchased list of any kind.

How consent is collected

Consent is collected through a web form during account setup, after the business owner has signed up and signed in. The phone number field and the consent checkbox appear together on the same screen. Below is an exact reproduction of that field and its wording:

Reproduction of the opt-in field shown at account setup. Disabled here for display only.

Consent is not bundled with any other agreement, is not a condition of purchase, and the checkbox is unchecked by default. Declining it still allows full use of Japhone; every call and its summary remain visible in the dashboard, the account holder simply is not texted about them.

What we send

One automated SMS after a completed call to the customer's business, summarizing the call. These are transactional account notifications. Actual examples:

Japhone: Sarah Jones called Acme Plumbing about a burst pipe and booked an appointment for Tuesday 2pm. Callback: 555-0143. Reply STOP to opt out.
Japhone: Someone called Acme Plumbing about a quote. No appointment booked. Callback: 555-0187. Reply STOP to opt out.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies and depends entirely on how many calls the business receives. Most accounts receive a small number of messages per day. Message and data rates may apply.

How to opt out or get help

  • Reply STOP to any message to stop all SMS immediately. We will send one confirmation and then send nothing further.
  • Reply START to resume messages after opting out.
  • Reply HELP for support information, or email info@japhone.com.
  • You can also turn SMS notifications off at any time from your Japhone dashboard.

Privacy of your mobile data

We do not share mobile opt-in data or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. Phone numbers collected for SMS notifications are used solely to deliver those notifications, and are shared only with our messaging provider (Twilio) for the purpose of message delivery. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
